No "Dear" Here

I recently watched a tenth anniversary special celebrating the great science fiction program "Firefly".  It reminded me that the character named Wash had a great nickname for his wife Zoe.  He called her "Lamby Toes".

Another great endearment comes from an older movie called "Idle Hands".  The male lead called his girl "Baby Snakes".  If you like a comedic scare, you definitely should check out this flick.

Anyway, these are just some of the weird things I think of while in the midst of madly writing fifty thousand words for National Novel Writhing Month.

  2. Thanks for commenting! I agree. That show had so much potential if it had been allowed to continue.

  3. I love Firefly! So does my cousin, she named her daughter Serenity. Serenity's name of endearment is "bitty".

  5. Okay....so I must be the only person in the world that has not seen Firefly although I love Nathan Fillion. I guess I need to locate that and watch it. I know my son loves it. As for names....I love a different sort of name and I am bad at calling people by nicknames. My daughter was nicknamed Wormy from her uncle when she was a babe and to this day, he still calls her that and she is 37 yrs old. HAHA....I have had nicknames myself but I am not telling what they were! haha

    1. Thank you for visiting, my friend! You're an inspiration with keeping active on more than one blog. I've really let this one languish. Be well!
